An Inspired Piece I wrote in 1980 ~
I remember this day clearly. I was painting the kitchen ceiling and was concentrating on the task at hand. While up on the
ladder, I had this sudden urge to sit down and write. This was at the very beginning of my 'sudden and unbeckoned' writings
so I didn't understand the process yet.
I sat there with paper and pen and wondered what the heck I was going to write about ~ and was then flooded with the words
you are about to read.
When I was finished, I was astonished. It was effortless and fast and required not one bit of editing or changing. I still
have the original as well as a typed copy I made.
Many years later, I shared this with a dear friend of mine who insisted I should have this submitted for publication.
I never had the desire to do so and therefore, never have.
2 years passed with a few more nudges to publish this ~ I always declined.
That years Christmas, I was gifted with a type set & framed copy with a note saying, "I just had to see this
in print, it needs to be published'
And ......so, now it is,here, called the Lone Crocus. This is still my most favorite piece and I share it with you.
I'll call tomorrow and say I published it !! :))
